Coping Toolbox #2

October

Unity Day is coming up on October 24th and this year our theme is “Stop the Hurt.” For this Coping Toolbox lesson, we will have 3 large “band-aid” posters (one per grade). On it, we will have large bandaids for each student to answer one of the 4 prompts below. You will likely need pens or fine-tip sharpies to write on the bandaids… Here are the 4 prompts. Your students can respond to any one they prefer.

What can you do to put a stop to the culture of bullying?

Why is it important to accept people for who they are?

What can you do to help make our school a safer place?

Write a quality that makes you unique and proud of who you are as an individual.

(We will provide bandages next week – in your boxes.)

Reminder: Please wear ORANGE on Unity Day (Oct 24). The goal is to show students at a glance that we are all UNITED AGAINST BULLYING.
